In DREAMBREAKERS, Shadow People are neutral NPCs, not Nightmares or enemies.
They represent ordinary dream inhabitants—silhouetted human figures who populate the client’s subconscious. They can wander, react to chaos, flee from combat, sleep, stare at the player, or perform strange dreamlike routines. Some can wear simple randomized accessories such as hats or other colored items to make them visually distinct.
They should generally not be attacked by Dreambreakers, although missions could involve protecting, rescuing, questioning, or avoiding disturbing them.
