Domovoy

Domovoy was once the undisputed guardian of the household—a grumbling little spirit who knew every creaking floorboard, missing sock, and suspicious noise in the walls. But as the years passed, his duties were quietly stolen by robot vacuums, smart appliances, and sleek Dyson machines that never ask for offerings or complain about crumbs under the sofa. Domovoy has never forgiven technology for making him obsolete.

Now he spends most of his time bitterly criticizing the modern world and everyone born into it. He especially despises Zoomers, whom he blames for smart homes, wireless everything, and the unforgivable habit of trusting apps more than ancient household spirits. Beneath all the resentment, though, Domovoy still takes his old responsibilities seriously—and if something truly threatens the home, he will protect it with the fury of a creature who has been waiting decades to prove he is still useful.
